really nice spot to get to oslo!
there is a bus spot which helps a lot for cars to get slowly😸
if u try to get out of göteborg i really recommend that spot instead of the others, it’s just 45 min from the center with the bus X4
(choose that one after seeing that the other famous one was in construction)
good luck !!!

Again, this spot turned out to be great. 2 hitchhikers with a NORRUT sign. Got a ride quickly to Grebbestad on a friday evening.

Met another hitchhiker at this spot. Tried with a NORRUT sign, but we gave up after 50 min and walked north to the next spot. Police went past and waved, so that should not be a problem. It is still possible here I guess, many smiling drivers, maybe we were just unlucky.

!!! TEMPORARY SPOT !!!
Only possible to hitchhike because of the roadworks. Basically the whole highway traffic going to Göteborg and Malmö passing next to you at a slow speed with a reasonable place to stop.

Got a direct ride to Oslo as a M/F couple with a sign after an hour. A fair amount of German and Norwegian cars, although ultimately a Swedish/Icelandic couple took us. Beware that in summer, there's no shade and you'll be burning.

Got a couple of middle fingers but then a really friendly ride. There isn't really a great place for cars to stop but the roundabout is spacious so it doesn't feel too bad. Male and female without a sign

Theoretically a good spot, but we had no luck, no one even stop, we started in the rush hour on a weekday with a sign Oslo

A guy and a girl withiut a sign on a Friday evening. Very bad spot. There is clearly no place for cars to stop, maybe if you go hitchhike at the redlights nearby, but it's impossible to hitchhike on the ramp.
We were on the other side of the road wondering how to hitchhike here when two really nice girls stopped by to help us thinking we were lost. They ended up taking us to Uddevalla, so we were quite lucky !

Good spot to go to Götenborg, but not so good to go further. Not a lot of cars passing by, but several cars stopped until a guy eventually proposed to take us past Götenborg.

A guy and a girl without a sign. We arrived on a Thursday evening and hitchhiked for about an hour without anyone taking us. We slept a bit north in the small village and got a ride to Götenborg in the morning. Not the best spot as cars go quite fast, but there is an emergency lane for cars to stop.

Pretty nice spot but not a lot of people are stopping. Got lucky.

I mean if you want to get out of airport this is probably the best spot because you also catch the traffic from mcdonalds which turned out good for me because the couple picked me up to goteborg from there.

Big rest area with a petrol station, toilets, and options to camp. Good for getting a ride to Malmö or Denmark. At the petrol station you can charge your phone and sit.

Sorry guys, but this might be my lucky spot! Within 10 minutes I got a short ride to the next gas station/rest area. The driver mentioned it’s not a safe spot since the ramp is already part of the motorway — but in my opinion, it’s still a usable place for hitchhiking north.

The waiting time ranged from 10 to 60 minutes. I was hitchhiking to Oslo and received two offers to Kungälv; the second time, I accepted the offer.

I remember my sister's bad experience at this parking area before—she and her husband had to wait for a ride for more than 24 hours. I was lucky that day and got a ride to Gothenburg in just 15 minutes. The car was originally going to Oslo, but they offered me a lift to Gothenburg. All the other cars were full.

We were about to give up and go to eat McDonalds 40 minutes away on foot, but a really nice girl saw us being in misery, approached us and asked if we need a ride. We wanted to reach Oslo, she drove us a little bit over Undelvalla :) (couple)

We were hyped about the spot because of many positive reviews, but the experience was tragic. We waited 3h 20min with Oslo sign. At 19:50 a guy gave us a 10 min ride to a small village.
