I always go there to go to La Chaux-de-Fonds. There is a sidewalk and car can easily stop !―Acab13120

I always take this spot to go to Yverdon/Lausanne or further (Geneva or France). There is not as many cars as you would imagine, but at some point people stop, and there is plenty of room for them to stop :)―Acab13120

This is a very good spot I take all the time when I need to go from Boudry to la Chaux-de-Fonds or Biel/Bienne or further. Cars have a lot of space to stop and they don't come too fast :). We were once 4 with big bags and we travel toward Ticino !―Acab13120

a roundabout in neuchâtel- serrières, i have not hitchhiked from here but it should easiely be possible to reach 'les chaux-de-fonds' (on national highway number 20) from here. cars go slow (although there is no real spot for them to stop, except the nearby busstop), there is a lot of traffic, you should build a cardboard sign anyway.―Anonymous

Got a lift to Geneva before I even reached the spot. Two guys saw my sign and called me over.―Davies

The Petrol Station is a good spot to ask people for a ride, or the entrance of the shopping center/McDonalds. Good to speak some german as almost all those who go towards Bern/Zurich/Basel speak swiss-german.―RedFox

Big and Busy Petrol Station on the highway. Cars who stop here go both sides: towards Lausanne/Geneva/Italy/France or Bern/Basel/Zurich―Anonymous

Not too much space to stop for cars, but still a good spot to get to Fribourg―Anonymous

Asked two cars at the gas station and got taken on the highway towards Lausanne. Good spot to get out of Neuchâtel into this direction.―Anonymous

There are two zebra crossings so the cars drive slowly and a place for them to pull in right after the second crossing.―Anonymous
