Reliable as always. Contrary to other opinions plenty of people going south!

Reliable as allways but perhaps a slightly lucky time

Think the general lack of drivers picking people up has taken the shine off this spot. Got a ride to Kinross services which was great!

Great spot good traffic flow and cars move slow.

Not great sightline. Got picked up by someone who circled round.

Towards Perth. Take a bus from the centre of Edinburgh towards Queens Ferry road, get out at the juction with Maybury road and walk along the raod while you find a decent spot to hitch. If you have time before hitchhiking, I suggest a walk along the River Almond.

2 minutes and we got a lift. Great place for going north.

Direction: North. I can't agree with those 2 greens. Heavy traffic, 2 lanes, cars driving fast, no hard shoulder... We had problems getting out of there, eventually ended up quite lucky with two young guys picking us up. Maybe it's better to go further and hitchhike there.

Yep. You'll find people going to Perth, Inverness, Edinburgh, Dundee, and even Glasgow.

Can be quiet. If it's too quiet, there's a bit more traffic on the slip roads, but cars are less likely to stop. If it's really quiet and you don't have a sign, try the sliproad.

I just want to note that I stood here 90minutes without one person even stopping. This is only the second time this has ever happened to me. Maybe it was the lack of a sign, but eveeryone else's comments were so positive I didn't think i needed one.

Best spot to hitch north from edinburgh, done it about 50 times so far! No need for a sign either, though only accept lifts going at least as far as the other side of the bridge (where there's a large layby)
