Gas stations are the gold standard and this is a good one. Not the biggest one, but still decent. There is a safe path from the city directly to here. I got a ride to Edinburgh.―martih

This is likely a good spot, but I just unlucky. I came here in the evening and tried to thumb a ride to Dundee. Tried for two hours, asked at the gas station, nothing worked. Then I slept hidden in nearby bushes (it's hidden and doable, not comfortable) and continued the next morning. It took me like 20 minutes to thumb a car.Btw, the gas station staff is awesome, I went here in the evening (around 8pm) asked for a cardboard and the guy told me that I can have all the pastry that I want because he has to throw it out. Don't count on that, but he made my day.
