Direction King's Lynn - the road is very narrow, and there isn't any room for pedestrians to walk alongside it. I hitched from the grass path, next to the river. Great countryside, but the grass path was 2 metres above the road. Avoid getting dropped off at Littleport if you can!―Anonymous

Travelling in the King's Lynn direction, rides are usually the really easy when you're going through Ely.. It's normally good to get dropped off at the roundabout before this one, for then you can hitch whilst walking to this roundabout, and I've never not gotten a ride whilst walking in Ely..―Anonymous

Direction Newmarket - this road feels kind of endless, I think there is a lay-by about a mile further up but this is where I hitched, and took my lunch break. Wonderful countryside, but not such a great hitching spot.―Anonymous

Direction Ely - this is the best place to hitch out of Newmarket by far. It gets traffic from the A14 as well as the Newmarket area. There is a care home and then a lay-by right after it, where cars can safely pull over.―Anonymous
