Seemed like an OK spot to me. Figured most people would be going long distance, and I got a decent amount of traffic, but very few stopped. Just think SoCal is rough for hitching. Got a ride in 2 hours to Santa Barbara.―Curbcat

Decent it is. Low traffic as well, this may help however. Got a short ride to Summerland.―Sark

The on-ramp here is a pretty decent spot if a bit under-trafficked, drivers can see you from quite a distance away and most drivers seem to be heading relatively far.―Anonymous

This seems like the best place near this exit to get out of oxnard. That being said, oxnard isn't a very good place to be.―Anonymous

Not much space for cars to pull over, but still managed to hitch a ride south.―Anonymous

Wide highway shoulder with good sightlines. Between Oxnard and San Luis Obispo it is suburbia so rides are spare. If you are financially able, take the Amtrak toSLO. You will save food money and time by doing so.
