Lots of traffic, waited less than 2 hours and got offered 3 rides, only took the last one. The first to pull over was really abrasive and the second could only give me a ride a couple hours later. The person I ended up hitching with only took me to the next exit. Be aware that hitching in Michigan will usually only get you short rides.―Anonymous

Got a short ride after about 45 minutes. The guy even had his son in the car! Never felt unsafe, but the guy was asking me my religious views within 10 minutes of picking me up. I think a lot of people in Michigan want to spread the word of God to hitchhikers.―Anonymous
