In my opinion, this is a better spot than the traffic lights or just in front of the nearby roundabout. The cars are concentrated in this lane, still not so fast, and everybody is going towards Warszawa, Lodz. I found a car going all the way to Warszawa in half an hour.―martih

After nearly an hour with no one stopping, I moved to the highway ramp. (sign Olesnica, Lodz, Warszawa). Cars can go in so many different directions, and the traffic lights are likely sensor-based (or precisely timed), so they do not have much time to look at your sign or stop.―martih

Very good spot, cars are slow after roundabout, there is a lot pf cars driving there and there is place to move car to sideway. One thing to keep in mind is to ask where exactly driver goes, because I ended up in Jordanów Śląski where there is absolutely zero place to even stop car, so I got to use local transport to go out of that place and I’ve lost a lot of time waiting for this bus.―Prokop99

Easy to get higher up the highway but i recommend taking rides that go further up than the Orlen in Legnica, it is much smaller there and here you can ask people or try to get the cars coming out of the turn.―Bombi

We got here in the evening, wednesday. A lot of czech cars, very little polish ones, although there are very many polish trucks. We waited for an hour, then went to sleep, next day waited another 3 hours and finally a polish truck picked us up to Wroclaw. A good spot for trucks, a very bad spot if you want a car to PL.―Anonymous

One male 40+, no sign, one big backpacks, a sunny day. On my way from Wroclaw to Brno (successful).I was hopping to find a spot just south of Bielany Wroclawskie, but I didn't see anything good. After nearly 1 hour walk I reached this spot.
A very nice place. Cars drive slowly due to the roundabout. There is loads of space to stop, thanks to the extra lane , joining the road (very really used). No shade.
After 20 minutes I got a short (25 km) ride to Lagiewniki.

Man this shit messed us up! Literally the perfect spot to get to Poland. Gas station, bus stop, space and time but these people made us feel like shit for even existing. Standing with a sign got them to change to the outer lane😭 even approaching them at the gas station got them avoiding eye contact and I think they made the point to reject us as coldly as possible😭😭 some even laughed in our face. Eventually a dude driving to germany took us to Wroclaw for 40€.Problem could have been the Monday morning but aside from all the other things, this should be a pretty optimal spot to catch a ride―pate88

One male 40+, a sign "Wroclaw", one small and ane big backpacks, a cloudy day (about to rain, but it didn't). Saturday. On my way from Budapest to Wroclaw.A very nice looking spot. After a petrol station, an exit 100-150 m extra lane, which gives loads of space to stop. Good visibility. Quite busy traffic. But I waited 2,5 h for a ride.
I started at 15:00.
At 15:30 a German girl stopped and said she was going to Wroclaw, but in 3 h. We exchanged the numbers. She left and I put my thumb again up.
At 15:40 a guy offered me a ride to Krzeszowice. 20 kms west and off the highway. I turned down his offer.
At 16:00 another (male) hitchhiker, going to Gliwice, joined me.
At 16:20 a car going to Kuźnia Raciborska stopped. 130 kms west but off the highway again. If it wasn't for the German girl I'd have taken the ride. But I turned it down. The other guy went with them.
At 16:45 another offer to Krzeszowice by a woman. Again I said "No" coz it was off the highway.
At 17:10 the German girl called asking if I was still waiting and at 17:30 she and her boyfriend picked me up and took me all the way to Wrocław.
It looks it's very hard to get on the highway from here. But it's not hopeless spot if you are willing to travel off the highway or wait long.
