Good spot, lots of charging cars, much preferable to when I was dropped off in flensburg.―Frederik

The cars are very fast here but there is a parking space and a gas station were they can stop. I used a sign a7/a1 and got a ride to something before Bremen.―Anonymous

Legendary place for going from Hamburg to Berlin, in my experience. I’ve been picked up twice by drivers going all the way to Berlin and never had to wait more than 15 minutes. Lots of commuters pass the roundabout, traffic is slow enough to stop and there’s a wonderfully wide shoulder. Chef’s kiss.―Kreft

Really good spot. We decided to stand here not on the bus stop. And we got a camper van stop for us and took us to the next gas station with a sign Berlin.―kiausiniuvagis

A bit of dead gas station. We were in the morning there but very low traffic. But eventually we found a car going to Hamburg and he even took us to hornel kreisel because we wanted to go to berlin―kiausiniuvagis

Perfect spot for getting farther South on the Continent. LOTS of European long-distance traffic. You can stand at the exit onto the highway, but I would recommend asking around. We quickly found a ride with a Swede going all the way to Belgium, who dropped us off in Hamburg.―Kreft

Going north, this spot doesn't feel so great, but it worked for me. I was looking for a car, taking the ferry when two guys pulled in, looked at the ferry prices, and decided to take the bridge all the way to Copenhagen. If going to Denmark, I would advise taking the A7 rather than the A1.―martih

Got a lift all the way to Copenhagen. Good mix of local and international traffic. We got a lift by asking around based on the license plates.―Finn147

Tried to get to Copenhagen and got a lift to A1 where we got a ride all the way. A lot of cars but mostly local traffic, however there were quite a few international traffic. There is a bus stop that the cars can pull over at.―Finn147

Worked asking around, but there is also a decent spot for sign. Big parking lot. We were just trying to go north and ended up with a ride all the way to Hamburg. A lot of people in the late afternoon/evening when we were there.―Finn147

About every 20 min. there would be somebody stopping. But all went towards Oldenburg or Osnabrück. We (2 guys) were trying to get to Lüneburg. No success…Cars were coming pretty often but it doesn't seem to be a good spot for hitching.
Cars to Lüneburg probably rather go down the A7. Or maybe walking in the city and trying at the Bundesstraße B75 which also crosses the river Elbe and is pretty close would've been better?
