Technically illegal but its very safe and no one cares. So much space for cars to stop and everyone is going south. With a sign for Villach I got a ride with an Austrian hunter going to Spittal in 15 mins, even though there was low traffic.―Arcturus

In the south direction this is horrible. For Vienna or Munich it is much better; I got an offer to Vienna. The place for cars to stop is the beginning of the ramp towards the north and cars are going so fast they aren't stopping, especially towards the south.―Arcturus

Lots of space but most people are local. I was going in the direction of Slovenia. Don't try to get a ride here to go far but instead try to get to the motorway entrance south of here and try from there. Try to get onto the onramp too because just near the motorway isn't good enough.―Arcturus

Try not to get stuck here. Traffic is very low and nobody was acknowledging me. I ended up finding some engravings on the guardrailing from people hitchhiking in 2008 and 1990s and got a ride right as I was looking at them with a German couple going towards Linz with a couple other people inside too.―Arcturus

I waited on the corner near the bus stop by the traffic lights, that way everyone in the Wien/Linz lane would see me. After 45 minutes or so I had one person apologise because they couldn't take me today but usually would have. Technically really good spot cause a lot of cars come and go for a toilet break. Lots of families tho with full cars. Asked around for an hour until a sweet lady took us all the way to near bled and even stayed with us at the same camping which is quite outside the city! :DYou have to take a Bus towards Glanegg, walk 15 minutes, break in through the fence or climb (😅) and you are there.
