hitchhiked from the edge of gyumri to tbilisi over many rides, the waiting time was always very short, however many drivers will decline you a ride because they're not going all the way because they don't understand that hitchhiking is about getting many smaller rides, so you may need to explain this to them―Anonymous

5 minutes and a car stopped. The driver wanted 2500 AMD each to Akhalkalaki (he went there) and 5000 AMD more (total) to Vardzia.―Prochy

Direction Vanadzor. We started after sunset and had a kind man driving us to Spitak in a comfortable Lexus. He called his colleagues till he found one who could drive us to Vanadzor. Also 3 more hippie friends of us found a ride to Spitak first and Vanadzor then.
Gyumri will miss us, 25 free souls camping in the central park busking and dancing in the streets day and night :) see u in 5

Theoretically a good spot to Gyumri and Ashtarak I think. Unfortunately I realized way to late inti the ride that this is not a group of friends but a shared taxi. It did not say taxi anywhere. Driver acted like people I hitched with, so I assumed no need to make the money issue clear. You should…. Anyway in the end it was 1.500 Dram so 3,40€ roughly.―Anonymous
