Better than Voralpenkreuz imo, but still mixed experience. Almost no austrian cars, mostly german tourists or balkans going home. More cars going north or towards Wien/SLK than direction Graz/SLO. People not super friendly, I agree better to ask truck drivers and people than waiting with a sign. (truck driver approached me with a ride to Graz after seeing me struggle for a while with my Graz sign)―friki

This place sucks. It has two lanes, and cars come in waves after the traffic light. Maybe the worst place in all of Austria. I was stuck for two hours and 30 minutes, then moved 500 meters to the regional road junction, and a car going in the direction of Liezen stopped after 5 minutes. Just ignore it and go 500m to the nearby junction; cars there go to direction of north and west, as well.―Tales

Good spot! I needed to wait an hour to find a ride to Graz, but many cars are passing and they often go a further distance. You can decide if you want to talk with people at the gasstation or stand before with a sign. I got a lift with an campervan (elderly couple from the UK).―Carl07
