There's a place for vehicles to pull off, and great visibility. There is still a little bit of local traffic, butout here you're past most of it. I got a ride in less than an hour on a slow Saturday morning.―Anonymous

To go west on 97, cars have to stop at a stop sign. This makes for a good hitching spot.―Anonymous

Hitching east on hwy-6 this is probably the best spot. There's good visibility, and enough room for vehicles to pull off.―RDNTH

Decent spot outside a commercial area. Visibility good, enough room to pull over, and low speed as it's right after a traffic light. Took a long long time because we were 2 women traveling and Vernon is a bit of a pain to hitch out of :-) Ride did not take us far, but was enough to keeo the morale up.―robotdog
