Police didn’t really like what we were trying to do and was talking about breaking the law. We talked a bit with him and how we already did it in the rest of Croatia and in the end he was fine. We stood after the toll booth, there is lots of space to pull over. Got a ride half the distance to Mostar.―viviii

Waited around 40 minutes without any cars stopping. Switched spot but ended up coming back to try again and got picked up after ten minutes all the way to split. We stood after the toll booth bc there is a lot of space to pull over but many cars are just speeding up right after the toll booths.―viviii

Lots of traffic and space to pull over. But only maybe 1% rate of reactions at all. Many drivers pretend you don't exist and many are going north rather than south. Police don't care that you're there.Got a truck in the southern direction eventually!

I waited only 5 minutes by the bus stop for a car that drove me almost 50 minutes down the coastal road. Really fun time, and probably your best bet if you want to go south on the coast :)―daganzebuaatramper
