I arrived there with the bus A3515, I then asked around and the first car I asked took me to France!! 🇫🇷

Go to the end of the station and stand with a sign there

Ride to Bayonne after 1min. Probably easy to find longer ones too.

Took me a while but eventually got a ride to the border. Used a sign with "Francia". The traffic lights before this turned out to be better as they were red way more often and had a slighlty better placw to pull over.

Excellent spot, space for the cars to stop after the roundabout. Got a ride in less than a minit to Cambo les bains

We ( Boy & Gril ) waited with another hitchhiker couple! They got a ride to the next gas station after 40mins. We were so lucky to find an elderly couple who speak english, that could take us all the way to Bordeaux :D
We definitely had to wait so long because not many pass by early in the morning! 2/3pm is the best time here.
Also it may be better to get a ride before the gas station in france as the gas prices are higher - still some people go to eat and do a stop here.
Just go around as ask 😁🌱

Was standing just after péage with a sign for San Seba/Donostia but after half an hour managed only to get a ride to Hendaye where I took the train for 2€ for Donostia.

Very good gas station if you want to cross the border to France and going to, for example, Bordeaux

As a driver, I pass by the place every time I go to Pamplona. I think it is a good spot both to Pamplona or to France (Biarritz, Bayonne, etc...)

We was 2. We wanted to go to Portugal and find à Truck. But it's impossible. Trucks don't have 2 sits and there is not à lot of people for Portugal (90% are going to France A8-Baiona). So we tried 3 hours and we didn't found so we slept in our tent the night and tried again on the Highway up there for 2 hours (not a good spot at all - not a lot of space to stop and cops scary the drivers)
So we went back to this spot and tried again to go to the AP1or8 and found someone for a gas station 40 km away.

works in both direction. No specific problem with the cops when I hitchhiked here.

We was 3 and found a truck driver to portugal in 1 hour. He open the back of the truck to let us sleep inside.
