Plenty of space for cars to stop. A lot of trucks so a bit chaotic. No shade

Better walk a few 100 m down the road, but still make the money issue clear. Otherwise good spot.

There are many taxis and many drivers that want money, but we got a lift by a bus for free to Batumi. There are also a lot of marshrutkas.

I was going to Poti but the first driver took me only to Kobuleti. It was a real problem to get out of town so I catched a bus to the Poti turn.

Better to walk about 100m down the road from the mosque to the parking lot. Still plenty of space to stop and not so many people, buses, and taxis around. Hitching without a sign got me a ride to Trabzon (from a driver who later decided to go to Samsun) within 30 minutes at 6 in the morning.

Sign for Gori had us picked up literally in seconds for a lift the whole way. Great spot.

Used the area outside the Mosque when hitchhiking to Trabzon from Batumi. It took around 45 mins [Blog Post](http://www.hobospirit.com/hitchhiking-from-batumi-to-trabzon/)

You can hitchhike just after the fork. It took around 30 mins to get a lift to the border with Turkey [Blog Post](http://www.hobospirit.com/hitchhiking-from-batumi-to-trabzon/)

Hitchhike around the mosque, road is wider and it's just after the border point. All kinds of vehicles commute here, and there are many trucks that go all the way to Europe even. Traffic is slow and frequent.

Taking bus numb 10 or 101 from citycenter, this is the last stop, u have also a nice beach (small rocks..) to camp in the night. lots of traffic, easier cars than trucks (long ways, turkey-azerb so hardly stop)
