There is the last shop before the boarder. So just ask the truck drivers or try it at the traffic light!―Anonymous

Easy pickings. Waited a few minutes max before a ride all the way to Batumi. Just find a space for them to pull in.―Looking for Stu

You can carhike just before tunel. Its pretty eary, we got lift to Trabzon after 1 hour. (Dont forget to visit stony beach nearby)―Anonymous

Direction to Artvin and further to Erzurum. I'm not sure if I placed marker rightly, as you should hitchhike after you pass bus station and before the road climbing into the hill. Good visibility in overall.―Anonymous

Good spot with a lot of cars passing. First two boys were picked up and five minutes later a truck stopped to let two hitchhikers out and I took my chance to hitchhike on that truck.―Anonymous

Perfect to be seen by drivers and very good to stop for any kind of car or truck. Ifyou want to go to georgia or artvin―Idefix

I don‘t think there is a better spot even though traffic is scarce. Sign to Gürcistan got me to Hopa after 2x45 min intervals. Stand next to the Mosque as drivers can stop there. Bus station is kind of below you for the worst case.―FlexiG

Good spot towards Artvin. It took like half an hour before Georgian trucker stoped for us and took us all the way to Hopa really close to Georgian borders. There is limited traffic and most of the people are only travelling between local villages however trucks are most likely going through Artvin.―Anonymous

Pretty long wait, but a very nice woman picked us up and drove us to Artvin, she even bought us local fast food!―Otto05

Its a border town so everyone stops at the street to eat. The road is one big parking lot. Walk the main road, not the one near the boardwalk into Georgia direction and find a free parking spot for people to stop. 5 minutes took me to Kemalpasa and I had a sign that said Gürcistan.―FlexiG
