I wanted to go to Heidelberg. It was already dark and it was Saturday... A group of several polish truck drivers were sleeping there until Monday, going back to Poland. Asked around for about 1.5 hours, almost no traffic, so I decided to settle for a ride to Karlsruhe and catching a train to Heidelberg. Got here by Bus 620 from Braunschweig city hall. Took me 50 minutes max. As there was not much traffic I was thumbing at the end of the service station. 10 minutes later I got a lucky lift all the way to Bruchsal West.―Anonymous

Very small traffic at service Station but you can write a big sign and point it to the borderpost from the second entry to the station they can stop pretty good there because they sre still speeding up we were 1 dog and 2 guys we tried 2-3 hours !at the service station ausfahrt idk what that means lol but there was only like 1 car every 5 minutes at the street its hundreds―Kollege

Not much traffic, maybe i was lucky but i got a ride from a woman tavelling to Munich trying to avoid expensive French highways, at 6 am. There is shopping area with toilets near and nice foresty spots to camp 2 km north (bit noisy though due to highway)―Anonymous

Unsuccessful. It might not be a good spot to get a ride to the South. I did not find any to StrasbourgBut there are many cars and good space for a car to stop for you, which is a bus station. Cars come from a side road as well.

A lot of cars to the west. A car stopped for me right after I started to wait (?) with a sign saying Karlsruhe. I did not wait for a minute. I was lucky.They drove me to Karlsruhe.
There is a good space for a car to stop for you.

Coming from the Frankfurt area, I had a nice little break there. I think after 30-45 minutes asking at the main building, I had a ride to Offenburg. Will definitely come here more often.―Anonymous
