Senseless spot to try hitching from - sharp bends without any lay-bys or hard shoulder. Follow the road for about a mile and you'll get to a construction side (as of Sep 10) and perfect hard shoulder after that.

Mixed fortunes, sometimes 5 minutes, sometimes 1 hour.

The classic spot for hitching to Dingle or Castlegregory direction. I usually hitch a little bit further out the road, outside Poff motors where there is space for cars to pull in.

Much space to stop. Despite standing behind the bend, cars are not too fast. We got a lift to Tralee after 15 minutes.

Got to tralee in 1 ride. Had to wait a while but not too long. Cars can stop easily and people are super friendly, there's just not so much traffic.

Next to the gaz station it's really good, we waited for 1 minute and a guy took us to camp

Good spot, space to Park, a lot of cars are passing by without stopping because it's just before the roundabout but we got a lift to Limerick!

probably the best spot to go further west, we got a direct lift to Dingle

great spot, cars are slow from roundabout, big shoulder to pull over on, this roundabout is catching all the traffic going to Tralee (Trá Lí)
I think you'd probably be able to hitch from the roundabout further north, which is closer to Listowel but I had notions to walk far

got asked where I was going while I was still writing my sign, there's lots of space to pull over in front of George Poff Motors

(there's also a charity shop which happily provided me with cardboard and a travel book, but they got everything for pretty cheap, if you're in need of any bits might be worth a look)
