good spot for getting out of galway south bound. take bus 404 to oranmore north and walk back a bit to the roundabout. better for rides to Ennis or limerick than trying to hitch on the motorway by the clinic.lots of traffic on weekday morning

caught a lift straight to ennis early monday morning. anywhere on the oranmore bypass is good but this spot will catch all the traffic leaving town and its right after a roundabout so cars are slowed :-)―Leslie

To get to Lahinch or Corofin stand just after the roundabout. Lots of people hitch here and its a well known spot.―Anonymous

if a nice old man leaves you here and tells you you can hitch from the bridges he's wrong!―Anonymous

In front of the parking lot beside gas station. If your heading towards Ennistymon stay here, the road ahead is fast, twisty and with nowhere for cars to stop.―Anonymous

Another good spot on the way to Lahinch/Cliffs of Moher, theres also a gas station here so good space for cars to stop. Average wait 10-15 mins.―Anonymous
