good spot for getting out of galway south bound. take bus 404 to oranmore north and walk back a bit to the roundabout. better for rides to Ennis or limerick than trying to hitch on the motorway by the clinic.lots of traffic on weekday morning

caught a lift straight to ennis early monday morning. anywhere on the oranmore bypass is good but this spot will catch all the traffic leaving town and its right after a roundabout so cars are slowed :-)―Leslie

To get to Lahinch or Corofin stand just after the roundabout. Lots of people hitch here and its a well known spot.―Anonymous

Another good spot on the way to Lahinch/Cliffs of Moher, theres also a gas station here so good space for cars to stop. Average wait 10-15 mins.―Anonymous

Not a great place. 45 min wait (maybe i was unlucky)for lift to Ennis. if you are going to Limerick you shouldnt have to wait so long―Anonymous

Spot for Galway or Limerick, in walking distance from the airport terminal. If somebody offers you a lift just to the N18 dual carriegeway go for it. You can easily hitch on the junction's sliproads.―Anonymous

Such a frustrating road. There is a lot of traffic entering the industrial estate here so i kept getting my hopes up seeing people pulling in to stop only for them to drive through the gates!―Anonymous
