walked north west along the ennis road with my thumb out and a sign for Galway. i got a lift just before the roundabout all the way to Tuam. most people driving to galway or ennis will leave limerick along this road and theres plenty of space along this road for cars to pull over with the bike lane and cars are going slow.―Leslie

good spot for getting out of galway south bound. take bus 404 to oranmore north and walk back a bit to the roundabout. better for rides to Ennis or limerick than trying to hitch on the motorway by the clinic.lots of traffic on weekday morning

To Limerick and Dublin. After the roundabout after Adare Manor. Good space for a car to stop and pull in. If you need to be let out at Adare on your way from Kerry to Limerick, this is the best spot.―Anonymous

Stand a little further than the end of the bridge, where there's a hard shoulder. To Ennis, Limerick and all points north.―Anonymous

if a nice old man leaves you here and tells you you can hitch from the bridges he's wrong!―Anonymous

Not a great place. 45 min wait (maybe i was unlucky)for lift to Ennis. if you are going to Limerick you shouldnt have to wait so long―Anonymous

Spot for Galway or Limerick, in walking distance from the airport terminal. If somebody offers you a lift just to the N18 dual carriegeway go for it. You can easily hitch on the junction's sliproads.―Anonymous
