I guess it's not the place to stand and wait for a car to Tallinn. Choose another road. Maybe.―T1mothee

Not the most ideal spot for cars to stop but good flow of cars and visibility.―Nalle

Trying to get a ride into Riga late at night. Super long walk so I put my thumb out even with super little traffic. A few cars later and someone brings me closer to the centre. Probably very lucky.―Arcturus

Heading towards Riga. Great place where even trucks stop although traffic was quite minimal. Keep an eye out ahead of you on the Latvian side as I missed a truck which stopped there since it was quite far ahead. Still got a ride with the second truck driver who stopped there to the edge of Riga (he was headed to Lithuania).―Arcturus

stood next to the highway for almost 5 hours, noone stopped. Apparently none was going to Tallin in the direction to Tallin? So I walked there and in the span of 5 minutes i caught a ride directly to Tallindepends on luck

I would say its an amazing spot. Local took us here and when we were here cars were going were slow because of some sort of traffic jam. And the driver said that its often like that here. So I would say if thats true its amazing.―kiausiniuvagis

Quite a shit spot. Akward for cars to stop. We got offered two shorter rides to surrounding areas but a guy on his day off offered to take us to the A1 right after Riga. Seems mostly local traffic. Not much people going onwards to Estonia―kiausiniuvagis

Probably just got unlucky but we stood at the bus stop for 40 minutes with a sign for Riga and got no one to stop. Mostly just seemed to be local tradfic at 10:00 on a weekday. Afterwards we moved to the grocery store parking lot and got a ride to Riga in like half an hour.―BigOne

Got picked up by asking around the gas station for rides to Riga. Mostly commuters heading into the city so better to be there early. Otherwise not a lot of traffic.―BigOne

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Now there is a normally functioning gas station, so cars no longer can stop at the exit ramp. You can still try your luck and ask around at the gas station but it seems like mostly locals use this one and traffic is a bit small. After asking around for 45 minutes got ride to gas station near Varzas.

Seems like a good spot but didn't work for me. After waiting almost 1 hour with sign Parnu, I got eventually a short ride to gas station nearby Adazi.―Argeros

Not the best spot, lots of locals, but there is space to stop on the side and gas station nearby (Circle K) if you want to ask. Ended up taking the bus into Riga 2€ after 15 minutes.―friki

Good spot to catch cars/trucks out of the ferry, there's space to stop and entrance to a parking. If you come in the Viking Line you will have time to catch at least the last half of the vehicles heading out. Got a truck almost all the way to Riga. Solo female, in the middle of a storm, sign Latvia.―friki

Maybe I was greedy, but finding a car to Estonia was almost impossible. Not really advised, but I believe this is the best place going north from Riga.―martih

Can’t say if it’s a good or bad spot because our driver just saw us and offered a ride. But there are many ppl around to ask for a ride.―kepker

Cars go fast, but pretty possible to get a ride here. I recommend to go to a better place on A1 highway if you wanna go to Tallinn.―kepker
