I guess it's not the place to stand and wait for a car to Tallinn. Choose another road. Maybe.

The rider told us it's not the best spot, but it turned out alright for us.

Heading towards Bauska. I put my thumb out just behind the bus stop and one minibus stopped but wasn't going to Bauska. However, within 10 mins, a Ukrainian person came up to me from the supermarket and asked where I was going and went to Bauska even though it was out of their way!

Trying to get a ride into Riga late at night. Super long walk so I put my thumb out even with super little traffic. A few cars later and someone brings me closer to the centre. Probably very lucky.

Heading towards Riga. Great place where even trucks stop although traffic was quite minimal. Keep an eye out ahead of you on the Latvian side as I missed a truck which stopped there since it was quite far ahead. Still got a ride with the second truck driver who stopped there to the edge of Riga (he was headed to Lithuania).

stood next to the highway for almost 5 hours, noone stopped. Apparently none was going to Tallin in the direction to Tallin? So I walked there and in the span of 5 minutes i caught a ride directly to Tallin
depends on luck

I would say its an amazing spot. Local took us here and when we were here cars were going were slow because of some sort of traffic jam. And the driver said that its often like that here. So I would say if thats true its amazing.

Quite a shit spot. Akward for cars to stop. We got offered two shorter rides to surrounding areas but a guy on his day off offered to take us to the A1 right after Riga. Seems mostly local traffic. Not much people going onwards to Estonia

If you are trying to go past Riga i would probably not recommend choosing this road because after it becomes only local road more. But we were going to Salaspils so that was all good but after getting out of it wasnt so easy. The spot itself is alright. There is quite a lot of space to stop even tho you just stand on the road but the outside lane is long so all good

First car with LV plates I went up to took me with him. Lots of people with Lithuanian, Latvian and Finnish plates, so pretty good chances that someone will take you

Got dropped off here from Pärnu and then found someone to take me straight to Riga. Really good spot with nice visibility and stopping spot.

Got a ride to Riga with a Parnu sign. Good traffic and space to stop but only cars or small trucks and mainly traffic coming from one end of the roundabout as there's a separation on the road for other incoming traffic.

Excellent spot with ongoing road works so one lane only. Problem is no trafic at all, probably due to road works. At 5pm on a Friday night, couple with thumb and sign. Everyone at the roundabout was going to the other exits. Got very lucky.
