Very good spot in case you want to avoid Riga city. Get from A8 to A5, then get a ride to Salaspils or even straight to the direction of Tallin. I usually wait 5-10 min. The uncomfortable thing is that some drivers will offer a ride to one of following roundabouts.

took a bus from Riga to get here, it comes from the north before the junction. couldnt even get here, i got picked up even earlier as walking from the bus stop to this place on the connecting road from northeast direction

We (2 people) got a ride here after only 1 minute on a weekday, after somebody drove us here from Warsaw. And they drove us straight to Riga (about 8h). Very funny ride with three Georgians we squeezed in the car with. They were very hospitable and even invested us to several beers and burgers. I guess we got very lucky, but it seems like a decent spot.
