Ride to Riga, Kuldiga, Ventspils.You can ask somebody to drop you off under the bridge witch is better place to go to Riga some 5 km from here. Spot is reachable by walking some 10/15 min. from center.―Anonymous

Ride to Riga, Tukums, Jelgava. Best early in the working day mornings you will easly get ride to Riga used it for years. Sunday is a bad day normaly. Harder to get here from Talsi ask somebody to drop you off on the bridge (tilts in latvian) they will get your point if you will show them your Riga sign.―Anonymous

Would not recommend getting stuck here since the cars literally fly past you at high speed. But it's always possible to get a ride, you just have to patient. Have hitchhiked here both in daylight and dark, waited either 20 mins or 4h. Your choice, really.―Anonymous

Direction Ventspils.Very few cars in the middle of the day, and mostly going to Talsi. Even the few going to Ventspils are going quite fast and so are unlikely to stop. I think it’s doable because their is place for cars to stop.
