Towards Riga, but on a pretty big corner so cars are cautious and during evening no lights, the spot at the railroad crossing is probably way better, as well as using the crossroad to go to Dobele, but here I'd estimate you'd need to wait at least a hour.―estohiker

Towards Auri, you can hitch anywhere in the city limits of Dobele as the road has wide enough shoulders for cars and the speeds are slow, good traffic, wait times of 10-20 minutes expected, enough light for hitching at dark as well―estohiker
