Tried to go to Oslo. Quit after 2+ hours and took a bus to Hamar

Very little traffic here. It's too out of the way. Almost no cars. Waited an hour with a sign and thumb and no one stopped. Gave up and eventually took a bus.

Direction south : Circle K gas station is super nice (warm, can recharge phones, nice toilets, friendly staff). We stayed there while it was raining overnight and in the morning (8:30am), after just 15 minutes of waiting with a sign that said OSLO, a woman came up to me saying she was going to Hamar

The spot is nice, everyone is going to the highway, but not so many cars here (but I've been there Sunday afternoon) and most of them seemed to go only short distances. Finally, I got a ride nearly to Hamar, but waited hour and a half.

Good spot to go to Elverum.

Might be a good idea to take a ride from here to Myklagard, then go south.

OR try out the onramp to E6 heading south - although I have never tried that one.

Myklegard is a petrol station and hotel. Try to avoid it if possible bed ppl drive very fast there (70 or 90) and don't easily stop

Difficult to find the exact spot but it was by a rest area on the E6 heading south. Seriously sound guy picked us up. Another fellow hitchhiker, took us to his home in Oslo for a great evening with conversation oozing with awesomeness. Thanks mate!

We waited under the overpass right on the shoulder of E6 :) plenty of cars in this area.

Good spot for going south, busstop so there is plenty of space for cars to stop. Not too much traffic, but also not isolatet.

A good spot if heading to Trondheim, BUT do not go closer than Elverum roundabout because there are not convenient spots before Elverum except Ånestadkrysset which is 8km before Elverum roundabout (turn to Trondheim road)

Afternoon, waiting time 80 mins, a 109km ride to Hamar, but I jumped off at a gaz station 20 km before Hamar, which is the best decision when you head up to Trondheim.
As I always say about this Shell Gaz station - be patient and friendly filter out short local rides if you go far north.

Going to the North, good spot to stand with a small sidewalk, good stream of slow driving cars.
two gasstations nearby.

My last ride let me out here and I just couldn't get any further from here.. I waited for over two hours while there was lots of traffic, but there really is no place for a car to stop at all. Also they are kinda distracted going through the roundabout so they don't really notice you. Not a good spot in my opinion. I would rather go a little further away from the highway and try hitchhiking on the nearest bus stop even though there is a little less traffic.
