I was going around asking for Bucharest or Sibiu, found a truck leaving later, asked around a bit more, but it didn't work, so I took the truck.

After a year, I returned to this gas station. The story was similar, but it wasn't that late at night, and I managed to find a couple near Sibiu. Also, I met a pair of hitchhikers here, so it's likely a frequent spot. Overall, I believe this is a good spot for Sibiu and Bucharest.

Good spot for Sebes or Alba Lulia. I had a sign Alba Lulia but the driver brought me to Sibiu so that was even better :)

The truck dealer picked me up, he gave me a looong ride close to Sebes. But next time I should wair at the end of the gas station. Got here from Szatymaz train station via 5059 bus

Very first car stopped, but was only going to Aiud. I waited (with regret) for another 90 min, until someone took me to Turda. Nonetheless, it might still be a good place to hitch out of Alba Iulia to the north. Petrol pump with place to stop for passing traffic as well

Locals were also hitching here. Relatively quick someone suddenly stopped (probably because he realised I was a foreigner). He was driving to Cluj, I got out before. Not a bad spot for going west. Lots of place to stop, and closer to the city than if you start near the highway. Male/thumb

Doesn’t feel great but it’s really the only way to catch the highway going south, not too much traffic so cars do stop. Probably easier for Sibiu than Deva

I went to gas station and asked around. Got a ride to Kluž/Cluj almost instantly. Also there is a park close by, where you can sleep.

Stop light at the crossing of two main Romanian roads. Good for going in any direction.

Stay here with a sign: CJ for Cluj. Stood here twice, about 20min.

I was waiting a little bit before gas station and 3 cars stopped. As usual in Romania, the third one didn't want money. It took me around 30 min. Good way to Deva but better way to Sibiu.
