One male 40+, one big and one small backpacks, a rainy (drizzle) day. Going to Stockholm.
A very good spot. An exit from lorry stop (some custom place) good visibility and enough space even for a lorry to stop. Not very busy road, a few cars per minut.
I didn't wait at all. I just stopped and I was about to take the sign out from my backpack, whe first lorry leaving the custom car park stopped and took me all the way to Stockholm. The fact that I was wearing a t-shirt with a big Polish emblem helped me loooads. The truck driver was Polish. I'm not sure how long I'd have to wait if I didn't have the t-shirt.

Very good spot to get a lift to any direction in Sweden, Norway or Denmark. We just arrived with ferry from Riga and tried to stop the cars, which were driving down from the ferry, right at the terminal. Got a lift to Kongsberg (Oslo) in Norway in 2 min. It is worth to try before you go to find a gas station to hitchhike on the way out of the city.

Viking terminal, for ferries arriving from Finland. Very good chances of finding a ride to anywhere in sweden, even norway and denmark.
