One male 40+, one big and one small backpacks, a rainy (drizzle) day. Going to Stockholm.A very good spot. An exit from lorry stop (some custom place) good visibility and enough space even for a lorry to stop. Not very busy road, a few cars per minut.
I didn't wait at all. I just stopped and I was about to take the sign out from my backpack, whe first lorry leaving the custom car park stopped and took me all the way to Stockholm. The fact that I was wearing a t-shirt with a big Polish emblem helped me loooads. The truck driver was Polish. I'm not sure how long I'd have to wait if I didn't have the t-shirt.

This time there was a construction site along the road where the indicated spot is, so we moved ca. 100m towards Sveaplan and stood in between the traffic lights. A lot of traffic, and well visible spot, but people need to decide fast. We were in the middle of morning traffic but had to wait quite long to get lucky.―Anonymous

Wait just before the bus stop, as the cars can stop...anyway they aren't fast because of the traffic light. I waited 20 minutes for a ride to Uppsala―Anonymous

The slip road to E4 south going is at the moment, 140806, not accessible since the construction of hospital Karolinska sjukhuset nearby. Go somewhere else if you are heading south, p.e. Kungens Kurva.―Maxlandegren

I was waiting there and asking for a lift to Link owing direction, but there were people at the local traffic, going to jobs mostly.―KiZi

Very good spot to get a lift to any direction in Sweden, Norway or Denmark. We just arrived with ferry from Riga and tried to stop the cars, which were driving down from the ferry, right at the terminal. Got a lift to Kongsberg (Oslo) in Norway in 2 min. It is worth to try before you go to find a gas station to hitchhike on the way out of the city.―Anonymous
