I've stopped here twice while hitchhiking south from Scotland to London. First time got a ride to Birmingham, and the second time to London. Both pretty quickly. Plus the services are comfortable, with free toilets, charging sockets etc. I would definitely stop here again when looking for a longer-distance ride.―mossenmoons

Great spot to go north, slip road out on to the M6 where cars have go slow and have plenty of time to see you and stop (legally I believe). Also, a bunch of truckers going long distances, into Scotland. Top spot―Oscarw

Great spot, got a lift almost immediately (although that’s luck too). Can’t imagine waiting here for over half an hour as all cars are going north and there’s a steady stream of them. Plenty of service stations that are easy to hitch out of on the way―Oscarw
