Spacious place where people stop for gas or coffee. You can either ask at gas station side or walk a bit down to catch cars and trucks all leaving the area.
Though, it took me a long while to catch a ride. Bad-hair day?:)

Arrêt en sécurité le long d'une piste cyclable et bus en direction d'Aix en Provence ou Nice

Got a ride for Aix en Provence in 30mn with a “marseille” sign. I waited between the toll and the small parking. Seems like a good spot to go south, and there’s space for cars to stop

pas ouf pour aller au nord,
on peut accéder à ce péage à pied en franchissant un petit talus
un camion semi remorque m'a finalement pris pour orange

My friend and I (two girls) were picked up within 15 minutes with someone headed to St Remy. We didn't find a good place for cars to pull over, but the woman who picked us up stopped in the street as there was very little traffic.

We (2 girls) waited here less than 15 minutes before finding a ride. There is a lot of traffic and a perfect spot for cars to pull over. And I guess if all else fails, there is a bus stop to take you to Arles.

To Arles. There is space for cars to stop 20m from the round-about. We got lucky and a man came out of his house and offered to drive us anywhere! If Thierry is at home when you\\'re waiting, he might do the same for you!

Cars don't go too fast after the roundabout, there is room to stop at the gas station entrance. Waited 25min to go straight to Avignon on a sunday

Had to go around the side road and climb over the fallen fence(not hard). Was standing right after the toll gates with a sign, got a ride in short time in direction of Marseille

Sign to ‘sud de la france’. Not many people willing to stop, Parisians generally unfriendly, but after 45 mins or so a Spanish man pulled up telling us he was going to Avignon in the morning. Offered us a place to stay the night and drove us all the way at 6am.
