Redding can be frustrating, and rides from Cypress Avenue can take awhile, but you'll get a ride eventually. This exit features several gas stations, fast food outlets, and lots of room to pull over, and long distance rides from this spot are likely.

Usually you can wait for hikers to come down from the Trinity Alps but on a weird day (not weekend) we needed up hiking quite a ways down the road before someone came.
